In a little more than a month, Claire Cameron will be making appearances in six Upper Grand schools. I'm certain that she will be just as impressed with the level of discussion that students bring to the table as William Bell was last year.
Here is a great place to try out your ideas. How? By commenting on a post OR by emailing Mr. Feick at email@example.com and asking to be added as an editor.
So, what did you think of The Bear? Love it? Hate? Why? What did you think of the narrative perspective? Did you find it confusing? Did it cause you to be shocked at times as the horror of what was happening gradually became clear? Have you read any other stories told from a similar narrative perspective, for example, Room, by Emma Donoghue? How do they compare? How would the story have been different if it were written from an older perspective?
Or maybe you're not quite sure about some things, for example, who or what is Coleman? Are the children actually suffering from the spit of the "black dog"?
